Advocating for Teachers, Students, and Families
Hey Ya'll
I'm the Austin ISD School Board Trustee for Single Member District 1.
I'm a third generation East Austinite .
I have been a Teacher, Department Chair, Instructional Coach, Administrative Intern, Tutor, and Vendor in the district. I've sat on Campus Advisory Councils (CAC), Parent Teacher Associations (PTA), and numerous other district committees including the Equity Advisory Committee (subcommittee Co-chair), but my most important role to date in Austin ISD has been as a parent navigating both Special Education and Fine Arts/Magnet Programming.
Advocating for families, and teachers is my life's work. I split my time working for Austin Community College Teacher Certification Program, privately coaching new teachers, producing education explainer videos, and co hosting an education podcast, the Austin ISD ExOfficio Podcast .
